Painted in 2012, Hate<\/i><\/span> is part of the same creative cycle as Love<\/i><\/span> (2011), with which it shares a common language, technique and compositional approach. The two works can be seen as complementary elements of the same visual exploration: not a moral dichotomy, but a representation of opposing yet inseparable forces that run through the human experience.
\nKende does not seek to judge or oversimplify these concepts. He names them, sets them out and transforms them into pictorial material. Just as in the street language from which his work draws its inspiration, words become a physical presence, a sign, an energy and a statement. Hate<\/i><\/span> and Love<\/i><\/span> In this way, they create a dynamic that reflects the complexity of human relationships, avoiding any simplistic or conciliatory interpretation.
\nThe surface of the work is marked by layers of calligraphy, gestural overlays and textural interventions that transform the writing into a visual structure. The result is an intense and dynamic composition, in which the meaning of the title is not illustrated but evoked through rhythm, density and tension.
